    As a Design Engineer at ESI/FME Structural Engineers I assist in the design of 1, 2, and 3-story wood framed homes. I am responsible for drafting preliminary roof/floor plans, designing beams, straps, shear wall schedules, footings and holdowns. Following design I will revise the roof/floor plans to reflect the changes per the structural calculations. The programs I use for my position include: AutcoCAD, Excel, RISA-3D, ForteWEB, and Enercalc.I am also responsible for slab walks and some occasional framing walks. I have also had minor experience in landscaping, such as retaining walls, trellises, and masonry pedestals.
