Infotainment and Autopilot hardware - Three successful vehicle launches: Model S, Model X, and Model 3 Worked on several key aspects of the vehicle including body controls, capacitive sensors, antennas, TPMS, USB, display, MCU, ICU, tuner, amplifier, speakers, manufacturing line, and more. - Hand-built dozens of early assemblies Silicone molds, CNC, 3D printers, laser cutters, and soft tools. Mock-ups were used for packaging, integration, fitment, manufacturability, and serviceability. Generated creative solutions for manufacturing issues before and during mass production. - Led mechanical design for base and premium audio systems, utilizing FEA and First Principles to push a more unified integration, considering design requirements such as acoustics, reliability, and manufacturability. - Created and Managed BOM with PLM team for multiple platforms - Antennae systems: LTE, Wi-Fi, GNSS, SDARS, Bluetooth, AM/FM, DAB, RKE Operated directly with cross-functional teams for antennae integration. - Full lifecycle - concept to mass production Designed parts for die-cast, sheet metal, progressive die stamping, injection molding, 2-shot, insert molding, CNC, extruding, PCBA/FPC. - Smoothly executed multiple builds in China and Mexico: Drove major manufacturing process improvements to ensure design, cost and yield targets were met mechanically. Inspected production builds, and advised factory on design and operations issues on the production line
