Manager of the Human Behavior & Organizational Innovation department, consisting of 45+ professionals mostly with a psychology background. The department designs, develops and evaluates behavioral and organizational interventions in order to improve collaboration amongst individuals and teams both in the governmental and business domain. The main focus of the department is on the Defense and Safety domains.

Responsible for TNO’s business and local-expertise development in the Caribbean and Latin American region with a primary focus on sustainability. Key topics include sustainable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable building, circular economy, sustainable waste-, water- and resourcemanagement, coastal zone protection.

From September 2014 until May 2017 I was responsible for the expertise cluster Urban Mobility and Environment (UME). The cluster exists of 10 departments with 300 professionals and is the focal point of TNO's knowledge on urban environmental sciences. It includes our leading experts on physical, economical and policy aspects of the world in which we live and work. Based on mathematical models and data, but also on in-depth knowledge of value creation, economics , strategy and policy, we generate decision information (strategic, tactical, operational and real-time) for complex processes and transitions in the fields of spatial planning, environment, mobility, energy and care.My main responsibilities include the strategic development of the knowledge portfolio of the departments and thereby achieving/maintaining world class expertise of our research activities, operational excellence of our project-portfolio and profit-and-loss responsibility of the cluster activities (including the innovation and maintenance of our laboratories and facilities).

From January 2011 until August 2014 I was responsible for two knowledge clusters with TNO’s Earth, Life and Social Sciences: the Operations Modeling and Resilient Organisations clusters. In this period the clusters encompassed 8-10 departments varying in seize between 20 and 50 FTE. The most important domains of activity included Defense and Safety, Mobility, ICT, Sustainable Productivity and Occupational Safety and Health.My main responsibilities included the strategic development of the knowledge portfolio of the departments and thereby achieving/maintaining world class expertise of our research activities, operational performance of the departments and innovation and maintenance of our laboratories and facilities.

Manager of the Strategic Business Analysis department. The department consists of 25+ professionals in the Qualitative and Quantative Business Modeling area. Responsibilities include HRM and financials, market expansion (mostly in the Operator segment) and knowledge positioning (Business Modeling, Future Market Interactions and Adoption of Innovations).

Department manager for the department Business Innovation Modeling. The department consists of 25 professionals in the Financial/Business Modeling and Service Marketing areas with the specialty of applying this knowledge in the ICT context. Responsibilities include HRM and financials, market expansion (mostly in the Operator segment) and knowledge positioning (Marketing of innovations, Service Leadership and Business/Financial Modeling).

Department manager for the department Mobile Information Technology. The department, consisting of 25 professionals in the IT field, was split over two locations (Delft and Groningen, the Netherlands. Responsibilities include HRM and financials, market expansion (International Operator segment) and knowledge positioning (Network & Service Management, Billing & CRM and Service Enabling).
