Co-Lead Software Engineer for the HYFN8 Twitter team. My responsibilities included full stack software development (Rails SOA backend, Backbone frontend) and managing/leading the Twitter Ads team.

I am an Application Engineer on the product team at Spinlister. My focus is on backend and full-stack development, in particular Ruby on Rails. I work with many different technologies including Amazon Web Services, Heroku, Redis, Google Maps API, Slack API, Stripe API, NewRelic, CircleCI, Backbone.js, Coffeescript, HAML, SCSS/SASS, Spriting Images, and Internationalization. My favorite task so far is when I helped optimize and scale Spinlister using optimization via Redis for RoR model/serialization caching (our search query transaction speed shrunk by 80%).While my focus is typically on the backend I will also help with Android related development in the coming months.

I was one of 3 programmers that works on the internal and external sites at AmericasPrinter.com . I worked on the internal site mostly (Rails 3.0/MySQL) and mainly focused on back-end. One of my main tasks over the last month working there was integrating FullCalendar.js and the Recurring_select Gem into their internal CRM site. Doing so has allowed us to have a web calendar interface identical to iCalendar in features and looks (scheduling, calling, etc).

I worked at BMC as a developer intern in the IT department (they did not have a separate coding division). My main responsibilities included maintaining an internal CRM site written in Druapl 7: I utilized PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL. I was also tasked with working on migrating the site to Drupal 8/Symfony. Apart from Drupal I also created Microsoft Excel and Morvision (mortgage software) macros using Visual Basic 6.0 . Lastly, I worked with teams of other interns to create web apps using Node.js, Mongo, Angular.js, and Rails. After beginning in the summer I stayed on during the school year (UCR) while working full and part time (depending on school course load).

Worked part-time teaching Math and Science to children. I also created one of my first websites for them, www.prep4future.com .
