Part-time Work, about 120 hours a month. Responds to all calls for service. I work on an Engine or sometimes on an ambulance.

I was one of the original 6 Firefighters hired to start the Paid Department in 2006 . I am responsible for one station and all personnel and equipment at the station. I am also responsible for training and responding to all Hazards reported to 911.

Helped instruct class objectives and worked on Practical Evolutions with Students. Ran Props, and lead instruction in various classes.

Responded to Various Hazmat and industrial incidents. Worked as a member of a crew that brought leaks under control, and cleaned up any spills that occurred as a result of those leaks. Those leaks occurred on highways, rivers, Railways and industrial sites. Used my experience as a firefighter to liaison with local first-responders to benefit the working relationships at all incidents.Also worker as a site manager in St Tammany Parish after Hurricane Katrina supervising the Household-Hazardous-Waste--White goods Collection team. I set up the collection point, where our teams would return with items, Chemicals Pesticides Paints, Fuels and Batteries.. Our site was the first to be set up and our "foot-print' was used as a model for all other sites. As with most government work sites we underwent safety inspections in the nine(9) months, about 300. Most would be amazed, but some wanted safety showers in the middle of the woods. I suggested a 55 gallon drum with a pull shower, and they accepted that idea since we trucked in our water, Later we had to use our water truck to do stand by whenever we bulked the chemicals for shipping.
