As Vice President of Medical Education for PM Pediatric Care, I am responsible for the creation and implementation of evidence-based and practical standards of care for the largest pediatric urgent care practice in the United States. We have created a first-of-its-kind Universal Provider Training Program that has successfully trained >100 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to deliver expert pediatric urgent care. We use >50 clinical practice guidelines that are tailored to pediatric urgent care, ensuring all of our providers and staff deliver quality care in every office across the country. Our unique competency-based approach to medical education drills down the complex art and science of expert-level pediatric urgent care into a natural progression of learning and retention. In addition, we have developed national standards for pediatric urgent care training/fellowship, hosting webinars and conferences attended by thousands of medical practitioners. As an extension of my medical education role, I have gained extensive experience in pandemic preparedness and have developed a standardized approach to COVID-19 management for PM Pediatric Care as well as summer camps and religious institutions. I am board certified in both Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, and have worked in numerous pediatric emergency departments, including New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell, Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, NYU Langone Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital Center, and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. Previous roles included Coordinator of the Pediatric Medical Simulation Program at Weill Cornell, and Residency Education and Simulation Coordinator for the Pediatric Emergency Department at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. I've won various teaching and leadership awards during my career, taught at regional and national medical conferences, and am a published author in peer-reviewed journals. I earned my medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and graduated from the Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University.
