The Safety Director will develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment through directing Workers' Compensation and Health & Safety programs to ensure compliance, reduce risk and identify and resolve gaps and deficiencies in all related areas.

Oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively. Responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process.

- Administer and operate the safety program to ensure the safety of all the plant employees. Lead maintenance and facilities personnel in day to day activities to support production and overall facilities maintenance. Manage outsourced facility maintenance and improvement contracts and activities. - Lead the development and effective implementation of the Safety Policies and practices. Review and update all safety policies annually.- Reduce injuries by engaging all employees in all safety programs. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure all employees are properly trained and comply with policies and programs. Ensure managers/supervisors are aware of their responsibilities for safety.- Permanent member of the joint health and safety committees and the ergonomics committees.- Ensure Management is kept abreast of all local, state/provincial, and federal regulations and changes to those regulations. - Assigned to Naval Aviation Special Skills branch supervising the budgeting, development, scheduling and execution of 10 courses taught at four training centers nationwide. In this role, - Naval Aviation Enterprise Corrosion Prevention Team Training Lead responsible for analyzing and developing training requirements to sailors and marines in the fleet which provides client services focused on quality execution and analyzing of instructional methods to ensure correct techniques and methods are being applied.. - Project team member instrumental in the development of a Business Case Analysis for the identification and decision making process of the teaching capabilities of multiple entities to senior leadership to improve overall corrosion management of Navy and Marine Corps Aviation assets to reduce the current $2.6 billion dollar corrosion repairs costs in the fleet through strong initiatives of monitoring and analyzing trends and data from the fleet to increasing school knowledge, and identifying inadequacies and requesting corrective action when needed.- Utilized Reliability Centered Maintenance data to prepare statistical reports and charts designed to produce world class training to the fleet and be able to provide the necessary information to investigate any customer complaints and be able to apply these lessons learned to improve and overcome any shortfalls to future classes and future teaching techniques. - Performed quality assurance inspections on curriculum management to ensure the latest information was correct and applied detection techniques to verify the information was successful and was being administered correctly.- Established contracts for services on program requirements to maximize effective adherence to procedures.
