Serve as technical lead on a team of three for AEP’s Distribution Management System (DMS). Construct project plans with the business unit. Manage capacity of development and support IT resources. Communicate and coordinate vendor requirements to AEP infrastructure teams (hardware, database, network, security). Develop and validate SLAs with AEP infrastructure, application support teams, business units and DMS vendor (GE). Ensure the DMS application meets all applicable AEP IT standards. Write, organize and distribute all DMS system reference documentation. Receive, test and implement vendor software releases. Provide 24x7 support and monitoring of the DMS, including disaster recovery and high availability solutions. In 2010 implemented DMS in two states with 20+ servers, 100+ RTUs and 60,000+ SCADA points. In 2008 served as IT technical lead on the South Bend AMI/DA implementation team that included implementing a vendor solution (ENMAC) as well as integrating automated metering to the OMS (GE PowerOn). From 2006-2008 served as technical lead for all disaster recovery testing of distribution outage management applications. In 2007 lead Pii discovery and remediation efforts for OMS applications. In 2007 lead OMS effort to remediate daylight savings time issues across OMS applications. In 2006 coordinated OMS server lifecycles across all seven of AEP’s Operating Companies.

Provided first tier support for mission critical 24x7 Distribution Outage Management Systems (PowerOn, PORD). Served on OMS implementation team that benchmarked and selected an enterprise OMS for AEP. Implemented 120+ server OMS solution across eleven states and seven Distribution Dispatch Centers. Planned, constructed and implemented numerous OMS and OMS Web code releases utilizing MAGIK, Java, VB and PL/SQL. Wrote and implemented various supporting applications (C, C++, and PL/SQL) for Distribution Operations.
