Designed, implemented, and tested a variety of aircraft systems, components, and simulations. Implemented MBSE methodologies, as appropriate, across a variety of small and large programs using Cameo SysML and UML tools to capture critical aspects of existing projects and also to aide in the design of new ones. Designed, implemented, and operated Hardware in-the Loop (HIL) simulations for testing of developmental and production aircraft, including automation for regular regression testing which became a tool used for formal qualification testing. Led an effort to investigate the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) Technical Standard (TS) as a key Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) Enabler and implement the initial FACE HIL, which would evolve into a key component of multiple aircraft systems.

Designed, implemented, and tested a variety of sensor systems and simulations in SysML, C++, MATLAB, and Python under ClearCase, SVN, and Git version control using the agile methodology. Experience serving as team lead in addition. Worked on a number of various sized local and remote teams performing tasks ranging from systems design and analysis to software production and verification. I have regularly presented work by myself as well as represented my team in front of internal and external customers, including government customers, industry partners, and small business customers. I have experience performing hands on prototyping work, which resulted in three patent applications approved by the US Patent Office; software production, where I worked with a remote team in Syracuse to design, develop, verify, and validate production level software; as well as system and algorithm design for production and IRAD systems, analyzing system performance, developing system specifications, and supporting their implementation and test. I also acted as a subject matter expert on our main simulation program, offering expertise and performing time critical fixes as needed.

Implemented image enhancement algorithms and a new quantitative enhancement quality measure in MATLAB. Worked with Dr. Karen Panetta and Dr. Sos Agaian as well as other members of the research team. Published 3 journal papers and 12 conference papers with IEEE, SPIE, and others. Senior researcher from May 2007; responsible for assisting and overseeing other members of the research team.
