Operational Infrastructure Team Lead
Current• Team lead for all operational infrastructure issues. Team consisted of 26 individuals from storage, networks, VI and datacenter management.• Experienced technical planner developing cost and risk models, supportability and effectiveness for production and test systems.• Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within my area of assigned responsibility. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving design problems.• Technical expert in storage and computer hardware software and interconnection SAN switches, HBA ports NFS 3 &4 clients.• Expert training in StorNext file system administration including troubleshooting, growth and daily health maintenance. (one of only two on contract)• Backup administrator, maintaining the archive back up of our legacy system via tape library. • Presents storage to vital mission systems, manages arrays, reviews designs and plans for future expansion and growth, upgrades code and troubleshoots problems with arrays.• Integral member of the Enterprise Infrastructure Management team in charge of selecting, implementing and monitoring all equipment installs in the customer‘s new converged network.• VMWare engineer.• Windows and Linux System Administrator.• Lead engineer to repair and apply fixes to network consisting of over 500 servers (IBM/HP/Dell/Sun). Handles the inventory and PTI of equipment.• Monitors network health.
