Primary Launch IT PoC during Launch and Static Fire operations. Launch IT technical PoC for server hardware, server configuration, server documentation, and operational fluency. Maintain efficient team planning and scheduling influenced by launch and space operations.Build, manage and administer a rapidly-growing, mission-critical, IT environment including: Windows, Linux, VMWare systems, Firewalls and networks.Plan, oversee, and develop maintenance and upgrade strategies for software/hardware. Install and configure consoles, servers, network switches, power distribution units, and other critical services in support of SpaceX launch, recovery, refurbishment, and space operations.Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, and reviewing system and application logs.Provide and plan after-hours or weekend support when necessary to perform mission critical and/or planned downtime of SpaceX IT systems for upgrades and maintenance.Work directly with Engineers and Launch/Space Ops Management to ensure IT systems are maintained and upgraded appropriately.Successfully manage multiple projects and tasks; ensuring those same activities are properly aligned with corporate objectives.Configure and maintain firewalls. Lead technicians during a critical and time-sensitive data migration period. Provide direction to L1 and L2 technicians for smoothest integration of new desktop and back end systems.Administration and migration of all servers including but not limited to: AD DNS & DHCP, Exchange, and NetApp storage.Direct team in most efficient path forward towards project completion.Troubleshoot Tier 2&3 level issues, working with other site leads as necessary.Provide project plans for process evaluation and improvement.
