The Senior Information Technology Technician provides service and support to students anddistrict employees in the technological areas of computers, telecommunications, networking, as well as educational and administrative software support.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Sets up, installs and maintains all district computer systems.2. Installs system hardware upgrades and performs configurations.3. Sets up, and installs printers, computer peripherals, and related software.4. Monitors, diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs software/hardware issues and completes thenecessary follow-up steps to ensure customer satisfaction.5. Responds to technology help tickets as designated and provides information regarding theticket to the requestor.6. Installs and troubleshoots computer software and ensures software licensing complies withlicense requirements.7. Creates software images and packages.8. Requests quotations for the purpose of providing cost information, and purchasing items.9. Provides end user support; prioritizes and responds to work order requests and alsomaintains all related help desk records.10. Performs advanced administration tasks on user accounts while maintaining data integrity andnetwork security.11. Performs troubleshooting on server and networking equipment.12. Provides end user training on computers and classroom technology.13. Assists in planning, development and installation of district technology systems.14. Interacts with students and staff in a positive and professional manner.15. Displays professional integrity and confidentiality.16. Provides input as needed for school technology planning and network operation.17. Completes projects in a timely and safe manner.18. Performs as a team mentor.19. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Data Services Director or Administration

Assist internal staff with issues relating to computers and other technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve software related issues as well as guide users through processes. Provide this support via Telephone as well as e-mail. Image new PC's to Mayo standards, install and configure required software, and ensure usability.

Ensure quality of work, coach, train, assist and evaluate each of the employees under my supervision. Conduct weekly call monitoring and quality checks as well as monthly one-on-one meetings with the technicians to asses and boost their performance. Responsible also for taking inbound customer service calls assisting customers with the setting up of new hardware, software, and troubleshooting problems while still meeting key metrics such as average handle time, occupancy, and first call resolution.
