I am the Specialty Branch Strength Manager, and I serve as the primary Army Medical Department (AMEDD), Chaplain, and Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) recruiter and retainer for the State. I work closely with Branch Chiefs to establish priorities for recruiting Specialty Branch officers. I identify and interview potential candidates for the Specialty Corps and then forward this information to the Officer Strength Manager. My responsibilities also include conducting briefings and providing information on the processes and benefits of Army Medical Department programs (AMEDD), as well as identifying officer vacancies and developing recruitment plans to fill them.In terms of procurement programs, I am responsible for creating weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports on our activities and their results. To find potential recruits, I prospect for leads through phone calls, mail-outs, and site visits to medical and law schools within the State. I also process applicant packets in a timely manner and aim to present a positive image of the Army National Guard to prospective officer recruits.

As a MEPS Guidance counselor, I assisted individuals in creating plans to achieve their goals by providing information about available opportunities. I dealt with issues related to enrolling in college classes and work schedules. I counseled individuals to help them develop and achieve their education objectives, including obtaining credentials or licensure, choosing a valid military career goal, and preparing for a civilian occupation after military service. Moreover, I ensured the quality of soldier contracts by reviewing them before they were submitted to the Office of Personnel Management. I made sure to thoroughly explore and validate all client needs through questions directed to clients during counseling sessions.

In my role as a National Guard Recruiter, I was responsible for identifying, recruiting, and enlisting individuals interested in serving the country through the National Guard. This involved reaching out to potential recruits, providing information about the benefits and opportunities available in the National Guard, and guiding them through the enlistment process. To succeed in this position, strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the National Guard's mission and values, and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds were essential. I also worked closely with schools, community organizations, and other groups to promote the National Guard and attract new recruits. Additionally, I was accountable for maintaining accurate records, achieving recruitment goals, and ensuring that all recruits met the necessary qualifications and standards. Being an Army National Guard recruiter presented both challenges and rewards, providing the opportunity to make a significant impact on individuals' lives and our nation's defense capabilities.

In my role, I managed the admission and registration department for outpatient and emergency services. My responsibilities included training new staff, enforcing healthcare policies, managing patient scheduling, and addressing patient concerns. I also focused on developing and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention. As the primary point of contact for clients, I promptly addressed their needs and concerns and gathered their feedback to drive continuous improvement of services.

Provided ongoing support to staff members by clearly communicating job expectations, meticulously monitoring performance, offering guidance and coaching, and ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
