In June of 2011 reported aboard USS NIMITZ CVN-68, where I commenced my steaming operations of (4) 25,000 HP propulsion main engines, (4) 8,000 kW turbine generators, (4) 100,000 gpd distilling units, (4) oil purification complexes, (2) steam reboiler systems, (8) multi-stage variable output air compressors, along with over 60 different supporting pumps. Pumps include: centrifugal / positive displacement, turbine / motor driven, single / multi-stage variable output pumps. Excelled in all assigned preventative and corrective maintenance assigned to me by the plants Maintenance Director. Completed an average of 15 hours of maintenance on system components while standing operational watches and completing all assigned training each and every week. Within three months of working in the plants, I was assigned as the Assistant Maintenance Director. 18 months after reporting to USS NIMITZ, awarded the Title of Chief Machinery Operator, systems expert in charge of all systems needed to maintain propulsion, electricity and water for a 102,000 ton US Naval Warship. Ensured the upkeep up the plant was within standards by maintaining paint and preservation of the plant to correct and minimize formation of corrosion.

Ensuring that all maintenance checks get completed with rated repair parts and by qualified mechanics.Ensured all junior employees received adequate training required to complete all maintenance actions prior to being able to conduct individual maintenance checks. Conduct weekly spot checks on selected maintenance items to ensure not only the maintenance got completed and annotated correctly, but also that each step within the procedure was meticulously adhered to. Kept complete records off all maintenance actions taken by the crew, along with outside entities. To ensure all scheduled and corrective maintenance was documented properly to ensure not only system upkeep, but also show trends of components to detect early signs of component failure. Went through two full cycles (4 audits each) of maintenance program evaluations, with zero discrepancies. Also in charge of daily crew planning. Scheduled the full work day of 32 Mechanical Technicians, while ensuring mechanics that excerpted outstanding effort were rewarded for their efforts.

While maintaining formality on all work practices, ensuring the technicians strictly adhere to all safety precautions and instructions. Assist the maintenance manager with the scheduling of plant shutdown for maintenance items and overhaul periods. Ensuring that it does not affect the ships mission, while maintaining all maintenance items within applicable periodicities.
