I had a part-time job throughout my A-Levels and during university breaks, my responsibilities were:• Liaising with external organizations – I had numerous meetings where I was expected to work with a client to deliver a service, including TV and film productions and charter trains. I had to have good communication with these clients to allow for successful cooperation.• Working with restoration and maintenance personnel – I have lots of hands-on restoration and maintenance expertise, learning from experienced staff I learnt how to restore and maintain both rolling stock and rail infrastructure safely and efficiently.• Organising and conducting railway operations – I led routine movements of over 100 rail vehicles, keeping a record of where each was on site, creating a plan of action to get everything where it needed to be for the company to operate effectively. This developed quick solution focused thinking.
