Implemented job applicant software to allow job candidates to apply for positions via the Internet. The application was developed using Java Servlets, JSP Model 2, JDBC, and Progress RDBMS. The application was developed for a major financial institution.

Implemented 2nd Century’s personalized customer care portal. The portal utilizes Java, ATG Dynamo, Interwoven Teamsite, Oracle, Netegrity Siteminder, Netscape LDAP server. Development staff consists of four developers. Project Lead for outsourced development of the Lead Management system. Development staff consisted of 2 developers and 1 DBA. Primary technical lead for 2nd Century’s ECommerce infrastructure. Established architecture and standards for 2nd Century’s Intranet, Internet, and Extranet environments. The infrastructure consists of the following technologies: ATG Dynamo, Allaire ColdFusion, iPlanet Web Server, iPlanet Directory Server, Netegrity Siteminder, Interwoven Teamsite, Oracle, Java, JBuilder, Solaris, Windows NT.

Responsible for the migration of existing server applications from a DCE/C++ based environment to a CORBA/Java and C++ based environment. Developed Intranet/Internet based prototype for creating new customer accounts. This system was built using Java, Java Servlets, CORBA, and DB2. Conducted technical analysis for Retirement Income Manager application and proposed technical recommendations. Developed and implemented Y2K conversion for 500 user Windows NT based application.

Developed Unix-based multithread server applications to support Verizon's electronic commerce initiatives. The applications were implemented on Sun Solaris 2.5.1 using C++ and Solaris threads. These application servers allow external companies access to Verizon’s ordering systems. Developed the system architecture for communication between Netscape’s ECXpert and legacy systems. The communication layer consisted of several processes using C++, sockets’ interface and TCP/IP. Designed and implemented an Internet based ordering system for Verizon’s competitive local exchange carriers. The system was developed using C++, Perl, RogueWave Libraries, HTML, JavaScript, Bluestone Sapphire/Web, and Oracle 7.3. Performed analysis, design, and implementation of trouble reporting systems for business customers over the Internet. The user interface consisted of HTML and JavaScript. The CGI was developed using C++, Perl Sapphire/Web, and Roguewave libraries. This system utilizes TCP/IP and the socket interface to communicate with the backend systems. Also, provided system administration for development servers running Solaris 2.5.1

Implemented an object oriented, client/server application written with Digitalk’s Smalltalk for Win32. Developed and supported enterprise application framework as a member of the framework’s development team. Performed analysis, design, and coding of persistence layer with Sybase System 10 as the application’s database running on Windows NT. Responsible for the migration from Digitalk Smalltalk V2.02 to Visual Smalltalk Enterprise v3.1. Developed stored procedures for Sybase System 10. Developed application interface to the mainframe using Sybase’s NetGateway and OpenServer for Mainframe. Provided support for ODBC and Sybase OpenClient for Windows.
