My duties at Perfection Learning are varied. I manage and work to grow the company's social media accounts, which include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest. After just one year under my management, we were able to grow followership across all platforms by at least 20 percent. I'm also responsible for developing, writing, and updating customer-facing user manuals for all of Perfection Learning's educational technology products. I've been involved in managing various projects as well including the roll-out of a new, internal communications software to be used at the company, as well as the user management and licensing of products on the company's new eBook platform. Helping customers with second-tier technical support calls also falls under my list of responsibilities, and I have been involved in various marketing projects including designing and writing copy for brochures, developing email surveys and analyzing their results and preparing support and integration material for various state textbook adoptions.

During my time at IT Services, I was responsible for crafting a monthly internal newsletter as well as maintaining the organization's social media pages. I worked with other university departments as well as ITS student employees to communicate and promote current IT Services projects including Workday, Iowa State's new enterprise resource planning software.

I worked with other university departments on a regular basis to communicate and promote IT Services' current projects. I also had a hand in helping create and launch a website aimed at helping those who are new to the university get acquainted with its IT infrastructure.

During my tenure as the Public Relations Intern at the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores of Iowa (PMCI) I was responsible for creating marketing initiatives aimed at generating attendance at three different events. The marketing initiatives, which included an email campaign and postal mailers, helped make PMCI's Charitable Golf Outing, PAC Fundraiser, and first-of-its-kind Energy Conference successes. I was also responsible for creating content for and editing PMCI's corporate magazine The Iowa Oil Spout.Revenue generation, through dues collection, is key to PMCI's success. I created their 2016 dues letter which was sent via the postal service to all members of the organization.

As the News Editor for Academics, I was responsible for overseeing 10-15 reporters on a daily basis. I was also in charge of teaching these reporters about the fundamentals of newspaper journalism.During my tenure I edited over 200 reporter articles and helped to create over 150 editions of the daily newspaper that was distributed across the Iowa State campus.
