I spent roughly one year at Pentair-North Aurora as a Lean Engineer. My focus was to support production by creating standard work and to drive productivity gains through continuous improbement activities. Highlights of my tenure include:Site 5S leader, roles included-Facilitating monthly audits of scores-Maintaining records for annual PIMS audit-Driving continous improvement in both the shop floor and office 5STrained as site champion in 8 Step RCCMUpdated machine labor routingsDeveloped standard work for Edwards product lineDesigned ergonomic test stand fixture that eliminated need for crane and improved test accuracy. Designed a test stand cooling and filtering system that eliminated test stand downtime. Helped create new picklist report for distribution center that eliminated need for daily audits.

Pro-E cad operator. I was in charge of developing a 3d library of JEDEC surface mount components. Because of the similarity between components parametric table driven models were used to create libraries of 1000+ components

Learned vital Lean tools through training and hands on experience-Kaizen-Creating Continuous Flow-Making Materials Flow-Standard Work-Heijunka-PFEPRevised a cell layout for small end suction product line. Implemented Point of Use tool shadow boards eliminating operator walking time. Also implemented one piece flow assembly on a conveyor system that completely eliminated the need for crane use during assembly. Developed a prototype for a material delivery system that would help eliminate fork lift use. Performed time observations for End Suction product line as prep work for Cell transformation. Facilitated an operator led CCF/MMF event where cell footprint was cut in half and was added to an hourly tugger route.
