I have a broad litigation practice that includes commercial disputes, probate litigation matters, environmental matters, and bankruptcy matters. I regularly appear on behalf of clients before federal and state trial courts in Maine and the District of Columbia, federal and state appellate courts, and arbitrators. I am admitted to practice in Maine, Iowa (inactive status) and the District of Columbia; the U.S. District Court, District of Maine; the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit; the U.S. Court of Federal Claims; the U.S. District Court, District of D.C.; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit.I am a member of the Maine State, Cumberland County, Iowa State, and District of Columbia Bar Associations. By appointment of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, I am a member of the Maine State Civil Rules Committee. I was previously appointed by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court to serve as a member of the Executive Committee of the Civil Process Improvement Stakeholders Working Group. I am currently the Chair of the Pastoral Council for the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes, a member of the Finance Council for the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes, and a member of the Diocesan Finance Council for the Diocese of Portland. I am a past member of the board for the Catholic Foundation of Maine, the Presence Radio Network, and past chair of the Pastoral Planning Committee for the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes and past co-chair of the Red Mass Host Committee for Maine.
