I serve with several others from around Arizona as an advisory committee to the United State Commission on Civil Rights. We are charged with assessing/tracking the state of civil rights in the state and then reporting to the US Commission.

The ACF-F is an amazing group that collects donations and gives out grants to community organizations - everything from music education, P-12 education, animal assistance groups, healthcare groups, and many more! I was honored to be elected to the EC in August 2016. I served as Secretary-Treasurer (2016-17), Vice President (2017-18), President Elect/Program Chair (2018-19), President (2019-20) and Past President (2020-21). I planned the 2019 ALSB conference in beautiful Montreal Canada!

I teach Introduction to Business Law and Advanced Business Law in the college of business. I also coordinate all of the law curriculum in the college, including hiring part-time faculty. I conduct research in areas such as employment law, constitutional law, and religious freedom in business. I also serve on several university and college committees: I chair the college Academic Integrity Hearing Board and serve on the Faculty Senate.

The School of Hotel and Restaurant Management is consistently recognized as a top program for hospitality education. In a listing of top 25 hospitality programs, based on student ratings related to academics, industry exposure, internship opportunities, and career placement, the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at NAU ranked number 7. The School also was listed as number 12 on a 2017 rating of the top 30 hospitality programs in the United States. We also rated number 12 in the world in CEOWorld Magazine's 2017 rankings. The School holds accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).

Assistant Professor in Business Law. - Teach Legal Environment of Business and Advanced Business Law. Guest lecture on business structures and ethics in the MBA program and various undergraduate business courses. I was an Assistant Professor of Practice until 2012 and then was converted to a tenure-track Assistant Professor.

As Associate Dean I oversaw advising, class scheduling, building management, student complaints, faculty issues and served as the Dean when the Dean was absent.

Plan and implement New Student Orientation for transfer students and incoming first year students as well as family members. Advise Parents' Association.

Responsible for the Student Judicial System. Review police reports and university complaints against students, meet with students, determine violations of the Student Code of Conduct and impose sanctions. Outreach to studnets on appropriate behavior and university expectations. Work with student organizations in event planning.

Associate attorney working with contracts, real estate transactions, corporate mergers and acquisitions, corporate maintenance and transactional employment issues.

Associate Attorney working on general litigation and employment litigation matters. Represent clients in wage claims, insurance claims and similar claims.
