As a Nuclear Machinist’a Mate in the US Navy, I have gathered experience in a variety of roles beginning from trainee and progressing to supervisor as well as program manager. USS Nimitz 2018-20221) Chief Machinery Operator: Supervised propulsion plant watch teams during critical plant operations while underway, deployed, and certification drills.2) Quality Assurance Inspector: Administrative review and oversight of critical operations to ensure strict criteria compliance and no deviation from specification.3) Repair Parts Program Manager: Research and procurement of reactor plant repair parts. Coordinate maintenance/repair scheduling.4) Maintenance Repairmen: Maintained and operated nuclear power plant machinery which includes oil, water, steam, air, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
