Ever since I can remember, literacy has played an integral part in my life. I knew early on that I wanted to be an educator, so I pursued my Bachelor’s in Education from University of Memphis. I started my journey of being a Licensed Teacher in August 2016 and have used the skills, knowledge, and resources to ensure students’ achievement towards their literacy goals. Literacy development is such a vital aspect of learning, so I pursued my Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Reading from Arkansas State University.Aside from my continuous learning, my qualifications include 6 years of elementary teaching experience as a Level 5 teacher. I was entrusted to lead my school in ELA as part of the Instructional Leadership Team. My duties included creating professional development opportunities, conducting professional development meetings, training teachers in iReady intervention programs, RTI, writing instruction and the adopted curriculum at the school level.I am dedicated in facilitating our children’s growth in literacy and seeking a position in leadership with an emphasis in literacy. I am a strong candidate for the job and capable of delivering excellent results for your school's reading goals and will be an asset to your school district.
