As an R&D Product Development Scientist at Freshpet, I apply my nutrition expertise and R&D skills to create innovative and healthy pet food products. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new formulas, ingredients, and processes, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance. I also communicate with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers, customers, and veterinarians, to gather feedback and insights, and to support product launches and marketing campaigns. I have been working at Freshpet for over six years, starting as a Research and Development Technician and then advancing to an Associate Product Development Scientist, before becoming a Product Development Scientist in 2022. I have a certificate in Companion Animal Nutrition from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a degree in Foods and Nutrition with a minor in Chemistry from the College of Saint Elizabeth.
