Federal contractor (Innovative Consulting & Management Services, LLC) who worked with scientists, writers, and developers at NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information to make science more accessible to the public.-Drafted and edited technical content into plain language that matched NOAA's mission and branding. Content included scientific research summaries, dataset descriptions, technical documentation, presentations, and product write-ups for ncei.noaa.gov.-Worked across divisions and disciplines to ensure public-facing content on the NCEI site was accurate, consistent, accessible, and compelling.-Managed all content systems for the website and trained and managed the web content team.-Reviewed web content drafts, slide decks, and other materials written by colleagues at different stages, and provided edits and comments.-Co-managed publishing standard and workflow for NCEI's web content.-Completed web consolidation for ncei.noaa.gov in December 2022, which resulted in a unified, up-to-date, accessible web presence for the four data centers that make up NCEI.-Contributed to and edited a Style and Design Guide for all NOAA websites, which resulted in a clear manual for practitioners to follow.-Presented to the senior leadership team on the need for public-facing values and mission in June 2022, which resulted in organization-wide conversations about updating mission, communications, and branding for the whole organization.-Regularly presented data visualizations and lessons learned to division leads, which resulted in an improved strategic plan for website content management once consolidation was finished.

-Engaged up to 30 students per week in week-long environmental and character education focused on local terrestrial and aquatic life. -Led hundreds of volunteers in invasive species removal, native plantings, seed collection, plant propagation, and fence removal projects throughout the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which resulted in a healthier, cleaner park and more educated visitors and volunteers.-Tended, monitored, and mapped dozens of rare, endangered, and threatened plant species throughout the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which resulted in an improved system for tracking plants.-Co-facilitated the reintroduction of the endangered Franciscan manzanita in carefully selected areas throughout Crissy Field.-Led management of a two-acre section of Lobos Creek for San Francisco lessingia and Gilia, which resulted in significantly higher numbers of San Francisco lessingia and Gilia in that section of the park.-Wrote bi-weekly scientific newsletter for volunteers and staff that increased engagement by 25% over the course of five months.-Engaged public in citizen science efforts through use of iNaturalist phone and web application, which resulted in a much broader reach for our programs, especially among younger attendees.-Attended plant-identification courses at the California Academy of Sciences.-Practiced BMPs for deterring the spread of pathogens at the Presidio Native Plant Nursery, as well as in the field, which resulted in the entire park system implementing a more thorough plan for deterring the spread of pathogens.

-Led restoration day plantings with hundreds of students, kindergarten through 12th grade, on 50 riparian and wetland restoration sites throughout the Bay Area, which resulted in healthier habitats and more informed students.-Developed and delivered engaging place-based lesson plans for students of all ages, inside and outside of the classroom.-Managed educational Instagram account for students and teachers that resulted in a 30% increase in engagement since I began managing them.-Completed a literature review of climate-smart seed sourcing and presented findings to a team of Point Blue scientists, which resulted in updated seed-sourcing practices for the organization.-Assisted with plant monitoring and data entry.-Attended the Phytophthora Species in Restoration Nurseries, Plantings, and Wildlands II Symposium on May 18, 2017 and co-led Phytophthora Prevention Committee for Point Blue.-Pioneered a new communications strategy for closing circles that all Point Blue staff now use.-Assisted with coordination and implementation of STRAW teacher training events.
