Responsible for Global Talent and C-level hires across Pharma, Oncology, NIBR, Sandoz and Alcon.Developed and implemented a 3 year integrated talent strategy in support of all Novartis businesses and divisions, sourcing the ‘Best Talent’ in the industry, optimizing recruitment models and related IT, harmonizing assessment strategies and consolidating agency spend. Most importantly, ensuring Novartis had a clear and joined up approach between Talent Acquisition and Talent Management thereby supporting an 'Integrated Talent Strategy'. Strategy included building a shared service model based on a hybrid fragmented approach balancing customer intimacy with cost optimization. Built and designed strategically located HUBS based on business imperatives and the supply and demand of top talent. Key initiatives included: a joined up EVP and social media brand encompassing diversity and military campaigns; candidate care programs; talent mapping, pipelines and communities; global campus and graduate campaigns. Workforce planning strategies aligned to resource alignment.Before moving to HQ, I initially built the team and strategy for Alcon, which is the 2nd largest division for Novartis after Pharma. Responsible for building the global team, deploying the infrastructure, ATS and necessary technologies to enable the team to hire the best talent in the eye care industry. Alcon is the world leader in eye care with a portfolio across advanced surgical, pharmaceutical and vision care products.
