I am a certified PA (c/o 2018 from UNTHSC) with a master's degree in Physician Assistant studies and experience in psychiatry, particularly working with under-served and at-risk populations. I am currently employed at the Harris Center (Harris County's mental health authority) in outpatient adult psychiatry, and have prior experience in psychiatric emergency medicine at a large county hospital. I am passionate about working with underserved medical populations specifically in the areas of primary care, ob-gyn, pediatrics and mental health, and have experience in county health systems. My foundation of work in education and research enables me to clearly explain complex ideas, while also relating to individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.I have a passion for patient centered health care and for empowering patients to understand and take control of their own health. My biggest personal strengths include integrity, compassion, an analytical mindset, and my communication/ writing ability. I have also earned a certificate of added qualification in psychiatry from the NCCPA, the same national accrediting body which boards all PA's.
