Grant Writer And Program Manager
Responsible the daily operations of a $2.1 million dollar grant initiative for infant mortality reduction, funded by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Grant researcher and lead writer for all program reports, supplement grant applications, internal and external communication submitted on behalf of the program; oversight of administrative activities and strategic planning for the Healthy Start New Orleans program; secured $80,000 in additional program funds. Provide oversight for the Project’s database and data management. Ensure compliance with overarching program objectives, funder guidelines, and Project protocol as defined by the City of New Orleans’ Health Department. Direct supervision of the Project’s Health Education and Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Department Managers. Develop and implement strategic plans assessing departmental performance to track and improve upon overall program performance and outcomes. Appointed to the Health Department’s Quality Council, which strategized quality improvement strategies for programs throughout the Health Department.
