Due to the orientation of the building, double glazing, materials and other ESD initiatives, the building has achieved a 6 star energy ratingEXPERIENCE:Project Architect from design development through to contract administration with ABIC SW1-Simple Works ContractMOUNT ELIZA RESIDENCE:Construction: Composite Construction, Copper Cladding, Steel, Spotted Gum and GlassCost: $10 Million Period: June 2009-September 2012The Mount Eliza House is a 1000sqm, 1 level boutique house overlooking Port Phillip Bay has been designed as a series of pavilions creating layers of space and material. Built on highly reactive soil and near a fault line, the house has been designed to take movement by a series of inverted concrete raft slab foundations that are interlocked at specific control joint locations at the foundation and steel connections to the roof structureEXPERIENCE:Project Architect from design development through to contract administration with ABIC MW1-Major Works Contract.Further to contract administration it involved design changes and further detailing during construction.

Due to the constraints of the site, the timber clad house has been elevated to create an undercroft for cars and the outdoor gym/shed. I was also involved in playing the role as project architect administrating the ABIC SW1-Simple Works Contract prior to registrationBOGDAN RESIDENCE, FLINDERSConstruction: Lightweight timber framed, timber clad and glassCost: $465,000Period: August 2004-February 2005The Bogdan Residence is a 346sqm, 2 level boutique holiday residence at Flinders overlooking Western Port Bay. The client was a retired professional that wanted Allan Powell Architects to design a home that took advantage of the sea views.Experience:My role was to prepare Architectural Drawings from Design Development through to Contract Documentation. I was also involved in playing the role as project architect administrating the ABIC SW1-Simple Works Contract prior to registration.

HALLSNEATH RESIDENCE, HAWTHORNConstruction: Reinforced Block, Steel, Zinc and GlassCost: $6 MillionPerod: September 2002-March 2003Hallsneath Residence is a 1640sqm, four storey boutique residence situated on a steep sloping site facing the Yarra River in Hawthorn.Experience:Model maker through the design development period. A presentation model of the house and its interiors was built to communicate the design intent to the client which was highly successful. With the client's approval of the design, my experience then extended into contract documentation.MUSIC SHCOOL FOR GEELONG GRAMMAR-TIMBERTOP CAMPUSConstruction: Timber and Steel Framed, Timber Clad and GlassCost: $1.2 MillionPeriod: May 2002-July 2002In keeping with the simple approach to building at Timbertop, the construction of the building with an area of 460sqm was at a domestic scale utilizing a simple palette of materials such as timber, steel and glass to minimize the number of trades on site.Experience:My experience was to prepare architectural drawings from design development through to contract documentation and construction.VICTORIAN COUNTY COURT, MELBOURNEConstruction: Pre-cast concrete panels, steel, zinc and glassCost: $140 MillionPeriod: February 2000-September 2001The Victorian County Court is a 40,000sqm, specialized building sited on the corner of Lonsdale Street and William Street located in the law sector of Melbourne. Due to the size and complexity of the specialized building, the contract documentation and administration was broken down into trade packages.Experience:My initial role as model maker was to work with the design architects in developing the design. This then extended through to the Internal Glazed Screen and Balustrade Package and the Blinds Package.
