I'm a visual storyteller specializing in higher education, magazine design, and annual reports. I started my freelance business to serve clients who need sharp, stylish communications while staying in the bounds of larger brand standards. I led a team of four designers at the Institute, with responsibility for design projects in the office of Institute Communications, university-wide brand standards, and mentorship to a wide group of communication professionals who formed the larger network of designers at Tech.

I designed some of the Institute's highest-profile communications: Research Horizons magazine, the Annual Report, materials for the Admissions office, web features, and publications for events like commencement and Campaign Georgia Tech. My project for the College of Sciences, "Up with the white and Au," was chosen for the collection of the Science Museum in London.

Assistant director with principal responsibility for digital projects, including website and email design. Worked with developers, editors and clients to produce design work and HTML/CSS, including responsive design via media queries and behavior representations through layer comps.

Graphic designer with principal responsibility as art director for Emory Magazine, the University’s chief alumni publication with a quarterly circulation of 120,000. The magazine was the recipient of a CASE III Award of Excellence in 2013 and a Special Merit Award in 2009.Art director for Emory Public Health Magazine and Emory in the World Magazine. Emory Public Health Magazine was the recipient of a CASE III Grand Award in 2011 and Emory in the World was the recipient of a CASE III Special Merit Award in 2013.Designed some of the University’s most visible web projects, including a responsive version of the university's main site, the Emory News Center, the Emory Magazine website, and the President’s Annual Report. Designed various print and web projects as assigned, including magazines, newsletters, brochures, websites, emails, posters, catalogs, programs and identity systems.

Designed and produced key projects, including publications, promotional materials, and signage. Each project required layout, some writing and photography, arranging printing or manufacture, preparing files for press, and arranging payment.Responsible for the school's Web site design, using HTML and CSS, as well as all content updates.Managed a budget of approximately $60,000.Participated in setting communications strategy for the school with the Communications staff.
