Promoted to own the P&L of GE’s Imanet and Imaging Solutions fee-for-service imaging contract research organization (CRO), comprised of 13 clinical research coordinators and chemists in the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Finland, I co-chaired the Investigator-Sponsored Study (ISS) Committee for Positron-emission tomography (PET) imaging trials. I collaborated with the world’s largest cancer/medical centers, and supervised radiochemists and clinical research associates who developed solutions for big pharma companies, as well as internal GE innovations. Liaising with electrical and mechanical engineering experts to enhance manufacturability of medical devices, I leveraged exceptional analytical skills to innovate medical devices and provide strategic direction.DELIVERED RESULTS:► Generating $20+ million from Imanet and Imaging solutions business while building a world leader in novel PET tracer development for pharmaceutical drug trials following good clinical practice (GCP) and good manufacturing practice (GMP).► Partnering with academics around the world to start 20 new ISS research programs. Accelerating GE’s tracer development for angiogenesis, prostate cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease. ► Enabling the development of valuable new technologies for macromolecular imaging, non-PET imaging, and non-imaging diagnostics at minimal cost to GE. Fulfilling the pharmaceutical industry’s growing need for emerging technologies by forging and managing 3 high-profile industrial partnerships with ImaginAb, Medpace, and NeuroImage.

Acting as the CTO’s top global molecular imaging scientist, I ensured industry leadership in molecular imaging. I spearheaded critical research projects, working collaboratively with internal business units and academic institutions to manage workflows from every angle. While building advantageous, high-visibility relationships with major medical organizations, research institutions, government officials, industry associations, and other key stakeholder groups, I oversaw policy administration, issue investigation, product documentation, and reporting.DELIVERED RESULTS:► Opening $1.4+ million passive revenue stream by organizing/implementing powerful go-to-market strategies; leveraging underutilized GE imaging technology and intellectual property for the veterinary market.► Obtaining $15 million Center of Excellence (COE) grant to launch 14-institution imaging network in Canada, as well as a cooperative research and development agreements (CRADA) with National Cancer Institute (NCI).
