For the last 18 years I’ve worked across entertainment, branding, advertising, journalism and interactive. I am as comfortable zeroing in on a brief as I am writing a treatment, editing a script, tinkering with a plugin or illustrating a character. The past few years I've focused on building and orchestrating teams – working to balance the wider picture the the key details.     I was a part of the founding creative leadership team to launch Vox’s first daily program, "Answered" on Quibi. I worked across a team of 20+ journalists and animators to align visual direction early in a scripting process so that complex concepts were not only accurately distilled, but also visually compelling. I led an internal brand audit and design overhaul to sharpen visual storytelling and find efficiences within our production pipeline. All in, we produced 13+ hours of content, 3+ hours of which were original motion graphics. The show consistently performed at the top of the platform and hit #7 on YouTube trending leading to 1M views in under 17 hours.

    2016: worked in collaboration with the head of marketing to generate concepts for the Dots&Co debut, with a focus on the animated launch video. I coordinated the process by which Dots hired copywriting talent, gathered pitches from motion design agencies, guided the selection of a partner, and then led client-side creative direction. (Loved working with our partner, Giant Ant!)Over the course of 2014-2017, I additionally helped to lead visual direction and illustration for a never-released game (RIP Stripes), prototyped novel game interactions within TwoDots, and contributed original illustrations for TwoDots' monthly scavenger hunt maps.

    NEW INC is a cultural incubator and professional development program that supports innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship in art, design, and technology. I was selected to be a part of the first class where I concepted and designed a mobile game called Specimen, leading a team of two developers. The game debuted at the museum's demo day and was featured at the Red Bull end-of-year showcase. Specimen went on to be named a "Best New Game" and "Game of the Month" by Apple's App Store and was a finalist for best app in Fast Company's "Innovation By Design" Awards.
