Absolutely nothing is more amazing than creating an environment that makes it possible for others to soar.My career started in psychology. Then branched into special education. It was set to push back into psychology. I had been accepted into the FSU Specialist of Education degree program in School Psychology and granted a 3 year scholarship! (Go Noles!) However, that was not to be my path.My husband's career took us to the other side of the country (FL to CA). It was in CA I met Jeff. He launched my career in behavior analysis. I did not have the experience nor did I have any training in the new field I was about to enter, but he took a chance on me. It was also in CA that I'd first meet Dan. It would be 8 years later back on the east coast that I'd meet him again and he and his dad would invest in two of my companies. However, at this point in my life, I didn't know anything of the adventure to come. I just did the next thing in front of me. I completed the additional coursework and field experience to become a behavior analyst and in doing so completely fell in love with the simplicity of the science behind understanding why people, organizations, etc do what they do and how to make beneficial changes. Part of my passion was in behavior analysis and the impact and value I saw that it could have on society. The other part came later as I began to build teams. It was exciting to see the impact from applying the science of behavior change to organizations and teams. It was exciting to give others opportunities just like the ones I had been given. As I've built and scaled companies, I've really found my passion in leadership. Leadership, not because it affords my ego a platform, but because it allows me to bring people together, highlighting their geniuses, and inspiring everyone toward a common vision.
