The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) is a statewide trade association advocating the views of the food and beverage retail industry. Our membership includes convenience stores, supermarkets, independent grocers, wholesalers, consumer product vendors, national and regional chain stores and locally owned independent retailers of all sizes operating in Pennsylvania.Our mission of the Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association is to improve the public image, effectiveness and profitability of companies providing products and services in agriculture production, consumer education, consumer packaged goods, food retailing and wholesale food distribution.

- Founded the first events-based women’s social club in Harrisburg.- Connecting women in friendship and inspiring women to achieve their dreams through lifestyle stories, social, shareable content, and live experiences.- Built a regional audience of 3.5 k on social media and 500 members.- Create social media content and plan in-person events.

- Develop and implement internal communications to connect employees to the company vision, mission, and product positioning.- Produce and distribute ~200 company-wide internal announcements to 1,056 employees worldwide. - Collaborate with team members and cross-functionally with department leaders to create communication plans that support business objectives.- Edit and proofread both short form and long form content including, social media, blogs, email, web copy, scripts and speeches. - Internal events: manage $50,000 budget; coordinate and execute internal events.- Trade Shows: manage $150,000 budget, coordinate planning, logistics, and organizations pre, during, and post attending industry trade shows. Manage the relationship with exhibiting vendors.- Social Media: transformed the strategy for the 6 company social media accounts with content management systems and engaging copy. The new strategies led to an increase in impressions and engagement across all platforms.- Mergers and Acquisitions: developed a strategic playbook specific to M&A events.
