A 150,000 SQFT 6 story Mass Timber office building over 150000 SQFT of retail and parking facilities.Building features include: solar array sized for Net positive energy production, all electric MEP systems, high performance facade, full mass timber structure, healthy materials throughout.-Lead Architect and Project Manager for a 600,000 SQFT corporate campus south of San Francisco. 287000 SQFT of mid rise Mass Timber office buildings over 300000 SQFT of parking facilities. Building features include: roof mounted solar on all buildings, a new regenerative landscape for the campus, an new all electric central utility plant, high performance facade and passive solar shading strategies, full mass timber structure, target EUI to exceed requirements of CalGreen.

Project Architect contributing to the guidance and oversight of the design process from conceptual design through construction. Primarily responsible for collaborating with the design team on early phases of project conceptualization and then developing the design through the schematic and design development phases, and overseeing and contributing to the production of a comprehensive set of construction documents. Projects of note include the complete renovation and conversion of a 19th century carriage house in Manhattan in to a modern single occupant luxury home, the renovation of The Savannah Avia Hotel to an Andaz property, several hotel renovations in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and New York, several office renovations in Boston, New York, and Los Angeles, and leading a series of ADA evaluations for 63 hotels and resorts across the US and Caribbean..

Worked with C. Matthew Taylor Architects and May River Contracting on a substantial design build residence on the beach front of Hilton Head Island. The residence incorporated numerous one-off building components, innovative architectural elements, and state of the art MEP systems to include: -numerous LED lighting installations -a state of the art geothermal HVAC system -a hybrid building structure composed of load bearing concrete walls and steel connecting beams -top quality custom teak cabinetry -3 custom fabricated stainless steel staircases and 1 stainless steel/teak cantilevered deck

I began my architectural career as an intern in a 10 person firm with a focus on hospitality, restaurant, and residential projects. I worked directly with the principal owner and the lead project manager for the duration of the three years of employment. This role focused on the core competencies needed to complete the bulk of the Intern Development Process with emphasis on schematic design, design development, construction document production, and construction administration. In my third year at Gonzalez Architects I took on an extra assignment in the preparation of project visualizations and presentations utilizing Revit, 3DS Max, VRay, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Premiere Pro. I completed numerous design presentations and several video and animation packages over the course of one year. Major projects of note include the complete renovation and expansion of The Casa Marina and Reach Resorts located in Key West, Florida, collaboration of the interior design for the Hotel Bel Air Spa, and the renovation of several Hilton Hotels located across the state of Florida.

I enlisted in the US Army in August 2001 as a Technical Engineering Specialist. After completing basic and advanced training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO I was stationed at Schofield Barracks on the island of Oahu as a member of the 65th Engineer Battalion where I was assigned as a member of the Battalion S3 staff office responsible for the coordination and execution of all operations and training events. Under the supervision of senior noncommissioned officers he tracked, distributed, and provided accountability for a 750K dollar ammunition account, and oversaw maintenance and upkeep of two Humvees, two utility trailers, one generator, and all field exercise equipment. I was assigned additional duties as the Battalion Reenlistment Sergeant and met or exceeded all reenlistment quotas for each of the six quarters served in the position. In 2004 I was deployed to Afghanistan as a member of the Combined Joint Task Force Engineering Headquarters, an 18 person team of soldiers and civilians composed of engineers, architects, and construction specialists. The office had primary oversight for all new infrastructure and reconstruction projects in the theater of operations. While in theater I also served as the primary aide to the Command Sergeant Major.
