My passion for information started early, but it was when a teenager that I embraced it as a profession, when volunteering in the creation of a community library for socially vulnerable people. There I experienced the "social purpose of information", which became my life purpose.My first internship was in 2006, at Faculdade Boa Viagem, where I was able to put into practice my knowledge in metadata management and mastery over controlled vocabularies: from Business to Logistics, Law, to Health Sciences. And the best part of it: connecting people with knowledge, helping students with their researches.Entering the corporate world, in 2007 I was able to work on the requalification and maintenance of the Tax Archive of the retailer Eletro Shopping, an experience that presented me with another perspective on information: its strategic value into the Business: from the fiscal, logistical and legal point of view. Attention to detail, organization, agility, focus and responsibility for the managed documentation are key words of this experience.In 2008 I had the honor of being approved in the Internship Program of the Court of Justice of the State of Pernambuco (TJPE). In the Law Library, in addition to consolidating my legal documentation experience, I assisted citizens and law specialists in legal research, from bibliographies to official publications of the Judiciary, Legislative and Executive Power (both national and state systems). Here, making information accessible I was promoting citizenship.In 2010 I started as an intern and then was hired (2011) at Associação Brasil América. Here, information was a resource for promoting culture and strengthening ties with the world. I worked on the restructuring of data in the organization's management system, adopting international standards for their description. Also, I developed and executed projects, raising funds from the American Embassy to implement an e-books platform, placing us as pioneers at a national level in the use of this resource.In 2016 I had the opportunity to lead the Library at the American School of Recife. In addition to cultural dissemination, reader training and information literacy, I also developed a renovation project, reclassifying and readjusting resources and services -- from metadata management to the creation of its own information policy.Information is versatile. It is in science, it's strategic in business, promotes citizenship, connects us to the world, develop readers and critical thinkers.
