Erica McDonald has more than 25 years of communications experience in the enterprise technology, digital media and entertainment sectors. In her current role as Partner at FINN Partners, Erica is responsible for overseeing and managing technology and marketing clients, including DeepIntent, Celonis, BMC Software, and PAR Technology, as well as prior experience representing Acxiom, Neustar, Hooklogic (now Criteo), NBC, Forbes, Gannett, TiVo, among others. Prior to FINN Partners, Erica was the senior media relations manager at The New York Times business unit About Group, where she provided strategic PR direction and effectively implemented media relations plans across the About Group business properties including: About.com, ConsumerSearch.com, UCompareHealthcare.com, CalorieCount.com and Abang.com (About.com China). At About Group she was also responsible for managing and overseeing the PR strategy and execution for key product launches such as CalorieCount mobile, About.com’s content expansion and the About.com brand campaign among many others. Prior to joining About Group, Erica was an account director at Trylon SMR, where she led key agency accounts including The Weather Channel, Bhg.com, Men’s Health, Syndicated Network Television Association (SNTA) and RHI Entertainment. She has also obtained a wealth of technology experience, having worked with such notable clients as Research in Motion (RIM) for Blackberry, IBM and Microsoft. Erica holds a BA in Communications from Monmouth University and is fluent in both French and Portuguese.
