As a Learning Strategist for Global Talent Management, my two primary focuses are Leadership Development and Global Onboarding Strategy. Our Coaching program is my primary responsibility within Leadership Development. Coaching can enable our leaders to have better conversations with their teams (and their peers). With Onboarding, my focus has been to take the program from a one-day, in-person event to a global, multilayer, curated experience. All the strategies within Global Talent Management are founded in adult learning methodologies. Currently, I co-lead the development facet of the Gender Equity Team (GET). GET has also provided a platform to co-host a development podcast where we spotlight women at Herman Miller and their development journey. Throughout my time at Herman Miller, I have been actively involved with employee resource teams.

The move to Leadership Development within the Global Talent Management Team allowed me to gain experience in developing learning content for our leaders across the globe. As part of our Peer Coaching program, I implemented a new Coach matching system that allows any team member to receive coaching from one of our internal Peer Coaches. In addition to supporting the Coaching program, I am working toward becoming Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation.

As a member of the Sales and Dealer Readiness team, I was responsible for the Sales onboarding program for Herman Miller Sales new hires. This program involves creating curriculum for new hires and facilitating digital and in person experiences, including engaging opportunities to practice and apply so that the learning is retained. In addition to onboarding, I help the team execute larger sales and dealer in person events through project management and strategic direction.

As the program manager for the Sales Readiness team, I combined my love for event planning with my passion of helping others to learn. Along with my team, I worked to create and implement on-boarding programs that leave new hires inspired and connected with the design and history rich, Herman Miller. In addition to in-person programs in West Michigan, I assisted with the execution of virtual learning and technology to ensure every learner has the tools they need to succeed. I strived to be service focused by anticipating the needs of my team and learners alike.

I was (and still am) very passionate about corporate events and their ability to positively impact employees. Working on events for mostly internal employees, I was able to design content and programming that helped deliver corporate messages, while ensuring that employees knew that they are a truly valuable asset. In addition to the standard responsibilities of an event manager, my focus was on creating unique and seamless guest experiences. From amenities to the design of meeting space, every aspect was considered to ensure that guests were able to focus on the task at hand, rather than the logistics.

As an Event Manager at Top That! Event, an event production company in Metro Detroit, I helped clients' dreams come to fruition. In working with both corporate and social clients, my teams were able create unique experiences that allowed guests to enjoy the true focal point of the day, rather than the venue. Through planning and execution, I had the opportunity to cultivate many important occasions in people's lives and truly cherish these moments.

Focusing on the organization and execution, I managed seven association's small meetings and assist in the planning of annual meetings These associations were comprised of medical and trade organizations.
