Litigate Worker’s Compensation cases from intake of case through ultimate resolution Manage paralegal staff to efficiently respond to client needs and manage caseload.Research and prepare cases for hearings and litigation in the areas of causal relationship, temporary disability, permanent impairment, scheduled loss of use, and disability classification.Advise clients and paraprofessionals on personal injury, premises liability, product liability, and medical malpractice cases. Managed completion of $16 million U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Utility Service, fiber-optic installation project with Lumos Networks, including design engineering, permitting, construction, splicing, grant reimbursement submissions, and coordination with USDA personnel for grant reimbursement. Advised Lumos engineers on issues concerning easements for placement of main-line fiber, LCP cabinets, multiports and access to long-haul fiber routes. Consulted and advised engineers and Lumos planners on rights-of-way and utility and prescriptive easement issues. Led weekly team meetings with engineers, construction managers, vice-presidents, directors and other essential personnel to obtain metrics of success and identify obstacles to timely completion and address them.
