Promoted from Coordinator (2010-14) to Director (2014-17), in this role I created and implemented personal and professional enrichment programs focusing on the student-athletes’ preparation for life post-graduation.➥Dynamically spearheaded the organization and execution of the Life Skills’ events and programs conducted to champion personal and career development of the nearly 600 student-athletes from 19 teams. ➥Effectively led community outreach efforts, totaling over 50,000 hours with an economic impact of $1.5M. ➥Strategically developed the structure, curriculum and execution of the “Gamecock Leadership Academy”, launched to develop and polish student-athletes’ leadership skills, resulting in a three-year total of 150+ participants advancing their abilities and confidence to lead on and off the playing field. ➥Proficiently served as Advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), delivering support and direction for the Committee and its 40+ members through assistance with the creation of annual goals, budget planning, event oversight and acting as a liaison between student-athletes and senior athletic administration. ➥Efficiently coordinated two major Life Skills program enhancements in consecutive years (2014, 2015) for the purpose of addressing current student-athlete and team needs. ➥Led the preparation and execution for the annual “Gamecock Gala” all-sports banquet as Chair of the 16-member organizing committee.

In this position, I successfully leveraged adept expertise to create programs supporting the NBA players’ personal growth and transition strategies upon retirement.➥Proficiently led the design, management and annual analysis of the Player Development department’s Strategic Plan, focusing on short and long-term goals.➥Effectively directed all league planning for the “Rookie Transition Program” (RTP), a four-day orientation seminar for 50-60 new NBA players from around the world annually, delivering critical transitional tactics regarding personal and professional development in the league; 150+ NBA players completed RTP during tenure.➥Strategically coordinated the “Assistant Coaches Program”, delivering education and coaching opportunities to former NBA players desiring a coaching career on the college or professional level. ➥Proactively spearheaded the “Legends Circle”, a mentoring program partnering current NBA players and league Legends in order to champion growth and decision-making abilities of the current players.

At GGE, my job entailed the administration of the health and fitness programs mandated for the participants and managing the logistics related to the sports league ran by the organization.

As the Sports Manager, Erica was the primary liaison with Olympic and Paralympic athletes. This includes the recruitment and engagement of over 2,000 Olympians and Paralympians from 62 countries, the largest group of athletes ever to support an Olympic Bid Committee. Her responsibilities also included assisting in the execution of national and world championship events brought to the city, as well as acting as a liaison with the New York City sports community.

As a paid intern at the WSF, Erica executed five Award and Grant programs, totaling more than $40,000 in grants and scholarships. She also acted as a community liaison and provided support and guidance to the 91 Community Action Programs, representing 36 states nationwide.
