I returned to Barnes & Noble for a transition period to assist my former collegues with extra work during one of their peak times of customer traffic. As mentioned below, I was cross-trained for three job descriptions; customer service, bookseller (floor), & barista work. My work at B&N Cafe was centered around preparing coffee/drinks, ensuring a clean environment, as well as full food preparation from the Cheese Cake Factory.

My duties were to first interact, communicate and thus coordinate each of the clients at our fully booked, high-end salon. Gold Coast customer service was a bare necessity while conducting the daily, weekly and monthly schedules for each member of the the staff; including payment, scheduling/calling/confirming the clients while in constant communication and dictation from each of the stylists to ensure service remained above expectations at all times. In addition to the aforementioned, I was also the personal administrative assistant to famous New York stylist Alan Topper; flying him in monthly so I may book his entire years worth of (cash only) high-end clients.

My duties as Assistant of Operations included direct responsibility and delegation over the maintenance, supervision and scheduling of the Front Desk Staff at various locations in a rotating quarterly cycle containing anywhere from 5 to 15 employees (depending on location). As well as full operations duties in training preparation for the ascension to the store manager position.
