A 2nd Cup is an innovate solution to the problem of human trafficking in Houston. As the Founder and CEO, I have created and implemented the strategic infrastructure that has guided the organization to educate and empower thousands of Houstonians to take action, collaborate with organizations in the anti-trafficking landscape to host over 500 awareness events, and generate millions to contribute to the fight against trafficking.

YES College Prep is a system of high-performing public charter schools proving that students from underserved communities can achieve at the highest academic levels. Over my tenure of 4 years, I served the school system as a science instructor, the system-wide Science Content Specialist, as well as a Dean of Instruction. In those roles, I was able to evaluate system-wide science instruction, identify gaps and help create strategic plans to guide teachers to meet instructional goals for thousands of students across the city of Houston.

Teach For America is a diverse network of exceptional leaders who confront educational inequity by teaching for at least two years and then working with unwavering commitment from every sector of society to create a nation free from this injustice. After working two years as a teacher with Teach For America, I worked as a Program Director where I was able to use evidence and student data to manage, coach and motivate 35 first year teachers to meet instructional goals with over 5,000 high risk students.
