I am a founder and CEO of a suite of hospitality companies with restaurants in Nashville, TN. and Orlando, FL. as well as an event venue and a catering division - I'm a speaker who loves to motivate and help others realize their full potential, shed fear to find passion in their careers, get started on something they love, monetize their true calling, step outside of their comfort zones and visualize their goals! I love teaching folks how to build a supportive network, collect resources to start businesses or scale their current business, and how to reframe thinking and processes to work better for them in their lives and careers. I have had the privilege of guest lecturing at various Nashville universities and hope to get my MBA to do that more in the future. I am a magazine journalist for 25 years and enjoy writing human interest stories, articles about history, culture, and the arts, and I also am active with a number of non-profits and give back by sharing their info, and holding events known as "Sparkle Hour" at our restaurant to benefit various philanthropic organizations. I started performing in theater at a very young age and still love the theater, whether I'm in the audience, on the stage, or behind the scenes: as long as I'm near it I am happy! I am an avid horse lover and equestrian my entire life; my discipline was mainly in hunter/jumper where I competed for years. My first horse, Joe Lightning, did teach me to barrel race and ride Western, and I taught him to ride English and jump. I am interested in learning to play polo and ride dressage and will always be 'that crazy girl that loves horses'. My husband and I have a very special life in which we work together daily (he's the chef and I'm the "I" in The Chef and I) - we love to travel all over but are partial to anywhere with a gorgeous beach! I am a stepmother to a lovely young adult, and a doggie mom to Luna, our Samoyed.
