A passionate professional with 35 years of expertise in the evaluation and measurement of science and technology (S&T) and all aspects of research and innovation.My dream is to contribute once again to the creation of a database of published research outputs, carefully thought out and built to produce rigorous and fair assessments across all fields of research, all countries and all languages spoken by researchers worldwide. The activities, needs and wishes of researchers and research users are always at the forefront of my concerns, because research is first and foremost about people.All this is based on sound theoretical knowledge and critical examination of data to design and produce, always with great care, assessments, scientometric data, products, services and scientific instruments (methods, classifications, indicators and databases). I'm proud of all the practical experience I've gained in carrying out and directing hundreds of projects that have led to accurate reporting of S&T activities and, in particular, which is my area of specialization, published results.My greatest pride is to have built up and led, with my close colleagues, teams of seasoned professionals who have succeeded with exceptional brilliance in developing and producing innovative solutions, and in advising analysts and decision-makers on a very wide range of important issues linked to the development of S&T, both in Canada and in Europe, my great love, and in the United States. I am passionate about energy, transportation, information and communication technologies, climate and environmental sustainability, and justice.
