I've had the absolute privilege of teaching a course on IT Ethics since the Fall of 2023. In this class we explore such topics as Intellectual Property, Fair Competition, Privacy & Bias within the context of Information Technology. Humanity has confronted ethical dilemmas with every new technological advancement and today's hyper connected world is now having proverbial gasoline thrown onto these issues with the advances of AI. My students are embarking on their careers with a broader perspective on why their technological choices matter.

Teaching a graduate course in Systems Integration, leveraging Amazon Web Services as a platform to teach integration concepts as well as introduce the basics of AWS and cloud programming models. I also strive to mentor my students on the soft skills needed to be successful in IT, for example; EQ, communication, people skills, and thinking like a product owner.

Built an IT Services service portal to manage all Infrastructure services as part of an 'all-in' Infrastructure as Code strategy. This SAAS solution is being being built in house on top of our ServiceNow platform. The platform is an integration and automation hub that a) catalogs and standardizes all products and services in well defined service catalog, b) provides a complete web based self-service front-end to consume and interact with the offerings, c) a portal for service owners to create their items and easily automate them, and d) an analytics platform to make data driven decisions around prioritization using key efficiency indicators.As product manager I was responsible for the design and roadmap for the platform, evangelizing the vision to senior leadership and key partners, prioritizing features, documenting and educating our service owner community on the growing ecosystem, and helping make the overall IT service provider strategy real.

An aggressive push to hybrid cloud has led us to rethink server lifecycle and we have combined workload design/placement, capacity management, and End of Life/tech debt into a data driven cross-dimensional activity. We built a proprietary Infrastructure Analytics platform to bring the power of BI to the challenges of the Software Defined Datacenter to drive automation, run infrastructure as a service, and provide our customers with cost effective and cost transparent solutions. Whether maintaining a traditional on-prem infrastructure or moving to public cloud, it's critical that Infrastructure organizations see the world through appdev's eyes, and think about the different kinds of applications they host, what makes sense for each type, and then streamline the pipelines to ensure safety while also optimizing for speed. Our data driven approach, and focus on data modeling of infrastructure metadata allows us to do just that.
