Working on kbbreview - the leading business magazine for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry. My role also includes broader design work for the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards including event materials such as signage, invitations, brochures and marketing material.

I have a great mix of clients who regularly come back to me for their next project. I love the variety that freelancing brings and have been able to work with and develop a number of exciting brands. My work has included magazines, digital magazine apps, pitch work, web graphics, brochures, adverts, flyers, banners, social media and more... Clients include: Digital/iPad apps: Grand Designs Magazine, Co-operative Food magazine, Gurgle magazine Magazine Brands: Good Housekeeping, Psychologies, Good Homes, Prima, Woman & Home, Bikes Etc, Time Inc The Foundry (creating designs for pitches to advertising clients for brands such as Marie Claire, InStyle, Ideal Home, Woman, Now)

Designing enhanced digital magazine editions for tablets and smartphones on behalf of a number of iconic brands. Drawing on my print background and experience, and bringing the same principles and quality, to translate print magazines into creative, relevant and reader-friendly digital publications. Working closely with each brands creative teams to ensure a high-quality product comes in to specification, on time and on budget.

Working on Zest magazine - Planning layouts from idea conception through to repro stage to create creative and attractive layouts. Organising and art directing photoshoots, including real-life, model and food shoots. Managing freelance designers and picture editors and attending the printers for cover passes. Regularly deputising for the Art Director on the main magazine and Art Directing standalone bookazine projects (Best Body Manual and Eat Smart, Stay Slim) as part of the Zest brand.

Working across the Weight Watchers portfolio, and on Healthy magazine for Holland and Barrett. Responsible for all design aspects of the magazine: planning, designing, finalling, cromalin checking and press passes as well as managing a small team and tight budgets. Organisation and art direction on cover, real life and food shoots. Working closely with the Editor, Publisher, Chief Sub-Editor and Picture Editor to ensure the smooth running of the magazine and constantly developing the style ensuring suitability for the client and the readers. During this time I also worked on redesigns for the magazines. Liaising with the ad sales team in considering placement in each issue and developing ideas to pitch to advertising clients.

Working on Ideal Home magazine, I worked across all pages within the magazine, designing and finalling including creating Complete Digital Pages. Assisting in the running of the art department, commissioning illustrators and designing posters and invitations for marketing/promotional events. Part of a small team responsible for the development and maintenance of the Ideal Home Magazine website.
