I am a full time math teacher at a high school, where I used to coach swimming. I have experience in many other areas (please read below), in which I'm strongly considering - if the right opportunity presented itself. I am interested in part-time, potentially full time, and something that is very flexible.I have been an Algebra I teacher at the high school level for the past 10 years. As you can imagine, teachers (and moms) wear many hats and are able to juggle and pivot on the fly. I am no exception to this. I enjoy planning, organizing, and adjusting things as needed. Prior to teaching full time, I spent two years substitute teaching at the middle and high school levels, while acquiring my MA in teaching, and coaching swimming. Before getting into the education field I was working in the Sports Industry, for which I still have an extreme interest. I worked at the Golf Channel as a Sponsorship Sales Assistant. My work there involved tournament affairs. I communicated with tour representatives regarding billboards and commercial units, and specials events info including Pro-Ams. Included sponsorship fulfillment, client meeting presentation prep; assist in sponsorship planning, activation, and execution. I also played a large administrative role.Most of my other experiences are in marketing. During 2008 I was a consulting intern at IMG. I was able to see how businesses and sports organizations come together to utilize each other’s resources. I learned about consulting and business development and created a business development project for emerging markets (BRIC) to align with IMG’s capabilities and resources. I was a marketing intern with the OSU Athletic Department during grad school. I played a large role in coordinating marketing efforts for Men’s Ice Hockey including planning, implementation, and execution of marketing strategies. I was personally responsible for marketing the Swimming & Diving teams.
