In my current role, I review, research, and process procurement and contracting requests in accordance with applicable policies, guidelines, frameworks, procedures, trade agreements, and directives. In addition, I act as a support for one of the agency’s modernization projects (most notably on the implementation of its resulting case management system). I assist the project lead with research, feedback and publishing of critical documents pertaining to the application’s development. Finally, I provide general assistance and services to colleagues and external stakeholders, on matters related to operational procurement and contracting issues.

I developed and implemented operational plans for a flagship branch in accordance with set business objectives. These plans included overseeing the rental counter, managing the vehicle fleet, tracking branch workflow metrics as well as sourcing and managing tools to build external partnerships. In addition, I prepared and analyzed integrity reports to ensure compliance with company-wide policies, procedures and goals. Identified areas of concern and proposed solutions to Branch and Regional Managers to address inefficiencies and improve processes. I also helped facilitate the launch and implementation of new point of sale (POS) software across the company’s Northeastern Ontario operating group. Provided support to Branch and Regional Managers on technical guidance and revised service cycle. Finally, I acted as a mentor and led the team by example to solve problems using independent judgement, discretion and decision-making skills in a fast-paced and client-facing environment.
