Managed a team of data engineers that oversaw existing ELT processes and data warehouses across multiple data platforms. Built and monitored new ELT processes and data pipelines to ingest data from various client CRMs for new and existing clients. Ensured ELT processes adhered to data governance guidelines. Led effort to increase the amount of client data housed in RKD data warehouse. Began process of migrating data lake from Postgres environment to Snowflake on AWS.

Led multiple data engineering teams with a mix of domestic/near shore/offshore resources within the Enterprise Data and Analytics organization. The teams developed real time data pipelines that consolidated member interaction data and allowed that data to be accessed by downstream consumers across the entire enterprise, including Property & Casualty, and USAA Bank. This data is utilized by Member Service Reps (MSRs) to help them better serve members who call USAA. It is also leveraged by marketing teams in order to better target marketing campaigns to the appropriate members. Also led efforts to migrate enterprise data assets from on premises data warehouse environments to Snowflake to be used by operational and analytical consumers. This included both historical and point forward data from over a hundred sources including Hadoop, Kafka streams, and batch data processing jobs. Managed a total yearly budget of $4 million which included both a development budget as well as a maintenance budget.

Oversaw the ETL process of clients’ data using SSIS and Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Performed regular data analysis regarding revenue and donor performance utilizing SSRS and Excel. Routinely worked with the client service team to provide data files for direct response fundraising campaigns that align with the campaign strategy.
