In December 2023, he co-founded Bitcoin is For Everyone, a nonprofit aiming to democratize financial technology and advocate for the inclusive use of Bitcoin as a currency. To strengthen his programming skills, he undertook a software development internship in 2022.For several years Eric worked as a freelance technical copywriter, where he utilized his extensive knowledge in medical writing and pharmaceutical advertising to craft compelling content.Earlier in his career, Eric served as a Technology Manager at the University of Washington Center for Commercialization, where he played a pivotal role in technology transfer and commercialization efforts. This experience ignited Eric's entrepreneurial spirit, leading him to co-found Nova TheraNostics LLC, a biotech company that emerged from the University of Washington.Eric's academic journey is as diverse as his professional one. He earned a BS in Biology from the University of Rochester; in addition, he pursued a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Washington while simultaneously earning an MBA in the evenings. His groundbreaking doctoral research introduced an innovative approach to induce artificial hibernation in mammals, laying the foundation for the biopharmaceutical company, Ikaria.
