Atlantic Coast Marine is a Boat Sales and Service yard doing all types of work on boats. Such as complete re-powers, fiberglass work, outfitting new electronics, engine services, trolling motor installs, etc. In September of 2022 I started as a boat detailer and washer and did that until September 2023 when I began working as a Marine Tech doing all the services I listed above. In February of 2024 I parted ways with Atlantic Coast Marine because of living situation expenses being high while living in Florida. I decided to move home to NJ so I could save money living at home and also attend IYRS to get certified so I could start making more money in this field of work.

Hoffman's Marina is a State of the Art Marina on the Manasquan River that looks out of the Manasquan inlet in Brielle NJ. I worked on the dock fueling customers' boats, getting them any supplies they needed from the Marine Shop, helping Transient boats sign in, fill out paperwork and assigning them to slips and helping them tie up in up to 6ft tides with 5 knots of current. I would get the transient boats situated hook them up to water and shore power. I would also do anything else they needed me to do on the dock such as help guide/ launch boats with the travel lift, weigh fish, paint, clean boats, load boats with ice and bait, remove decals from boats, etc.

Mehl Electric is a Union Electrical Company that bids on big electrical jobs from the government and does work on buildings like hospitals, schools, stadiums, etc. I worked at Mehl Electric During Covid while taking my first semester of college online at home. I worked in the prefab shop assembling items such as switch boxes, outlet, cutting cable runs, wiring fire alarms, making temp transformers for job sites etc. I would also deliver truckloads of these items to the Job Sites. We would assemble these items in the prefab shop so once it was on the Job it would save time on the job so field electricians could focus on installation instead of assembly. I left Mehl Electric to go to college in person on campus the spring semester of 2021.
